We’re thrilled to share some exciting news — L&L Crafty Finds was selected as one of two $5,000 microgrant winners at The Lion’s Den, a Shark Tank–style event created to empower and elevate small businesses across DeKalb, Rockdale, and Newton Counties!
Hosted by the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by Amazon, Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Decide DeKalb, and several regional partners, The Lion’s Den was more than just a competition — it was an opportunity to spotlight innovation, resilience, and community impact. Over the course of the program, participants received training, exposure, and access to funding opportunities that support emerging entrepreneurs. The event culminated in a live pitch competition on October 23rd, where our founders, LaToya and Linda Lott, proudly shared the heart and vision behind L&L Crafty Finds.
A Win for Creative Wellness and Community
This microgrant is more than financial support it’s validation of our mission to create a safe, fun, and empowering space for adults to unwind, connect, and explore their creativity. From our wood-burning workshops and paint nights to mixology and self-care experiences, every class is designed to help people tap into their creativity while prioritizing mental wellness.
As a new business and member of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, we’re grateful for the recognition and the opportunity to continue growing within such a supportive community of business leaders, educators, and changemakers.

What’s Next
This grant will help us expand programming, purchase additional creative supplies, and strengthen our outreach efforts to local organizations looking for team-building and creative wellness experiences.
